What Makes a Song Worth 96+? Our Grading System Explained

What Makes a Song “96+”? Inside the Squrle Beats Quality Standard

Not all custom songs are created equal — and we don’t just hope our songs are good. We grade them. Literally.

At Squrle Beats, every song we deliver has to score 96 or higher on our internal grading scale. If it doesn’t, it’s revised until it does. Why? Because moments like a wedding first dance or a surprise anniversary gift deserve more than “good enough.”

🧠 How the 96+ Scale Works

Each song is scored across multiple categories:

Emotional Impact — Does it hit you in the heart?

Story Clarity — Is the couple’s story clearly told?

Lyric Flow — Does it sound natural and poetic?

Production Suitability — Does the sound match the story and moment?

Radio Readiness — Would you believe this belongs on a playlist?

Each section is rated on a 20-point scale. If the total doesn’t hit 96+, it goes back for edits — no exceptions.

🎧 Why This Matters for You

Some companies rely on quick-turn templates. We don’t. Your story is unique, and your song should be too — with radio-quality sound and lyrics that reflect your real moments.

Whether it’s a song for your first dance, a parent tribute, or a just-because surprise, we treat it like it’s going on an album — because to you, it kind of is.

🔁 We Keep Refining Until It’s Ready

If a song scores 91, we don’t say “close enough.” We ask why. Maybe the chorus needs more emotional lift. Maybe the rhythm’s off. Maybe it just doesn’t feel like the couple yet.

So we revise. And revise again. Until it’s a 96+.
